OPERATING SYSTEMS FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS 377

Credit hours: 3.0

Prerequisites: CS 372 or MS/IS 423 The structure of a generic operating system will be studied. The various components, including the interface with the underlying hardware, will be considered in detail. UNIX and Windows/NT will be considered as case studies throughout the course. The course will also emphasize hands on experience as a power user of at least one modern operating system.
