THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS RESEARCH 7894

Credit hours: 3.0

Prerequisites: IS 6800, Admittance to the Ph.D. Program The theoretical foundations of information systems are largely built upon the theories from other disciplines, including the physical sciences, computer science, sociology, psychology, and mathematics. In this course, we survey a variety of theoretical foundations from other disciplines by reading the original works, critical responses to these theories, and representative applications of these theories in the IS domain.
