PHYSICAL BIOCHEMISTRY 4772
Credit hours: 3.0
Prerequisites: Chemistry 3312 or Chemistry/Biology 4712 Designed to acquaint students with concepts and methods in biophysical chemistry. Topics that will be discussed include protein and DNA structures, forces involved in protein folding and conformational stability, protein-DNA interactions, methods for characterization and separation of macromolecules, electron transfer, and biological spectroscopy. Three hours of lecture per week.
