INTRODUCTORY CHEMISTRY I 1111
Credit hours: 5.0
Prerequisite: Mathematics through college algebra and trigonometry (may be taken concurrently). Presents an introduction to the fundamental laws and theories of chemistry. Laboratory experiments are designed to demonstrate some aspects of qualitative and quantitative analysis and to develop skills in laboratory procedures. Chemistry majors may not include both Chemistry 1082 & 1111, or Chemistry 1011 & 1111 in the 120 hours required for graduation. Three hours lecture and one hour discussion per week; one hour laboratory lecture and three hours laboratory per week.
