NUCLEIC ACID STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION 4632

Credit hours: 3.0

Prerequisites: Bio 2012 & 4712 or equivalent, or consent of instructor. A comprehensive view of the structural properties of DNA and RNA that promote molecular interactions and biological function. Topics will include the physical properties of nucleic acids, the formation and biological importance of higher order structures, RNA enzymatic activities, nucleic acid-protein interactions, and RNA metobolism. Three hours of lecture per week. Students may not receive credit for both biology 4632 and 6632.
