Learning, study and scholarship are important, value-oriented activities for persons of all ages. A public, land grant institution such as the University of Missouri-St. Louis is the ideal place for such education to take place. Community scholars are welcome at this hometown university!

The Community Scholars Program (CSP), based in the College of Arts & Sciences, places scholars in select undergraduate classes covering a host of exciting topics, specialized summer camps, and other academic experiences throughout the year.

Scholars can pursue personal interests for new learning and/or take part in formal continuing education (CE) workshops for their professional disciplines. They benefit from the same high level instruction as regular, degree seeking students, but at a reduced cost.

New Senior Scholars participate in a full-day orientation retreat offered at the start of each semester. They learn about UMSL systems, receive guidance for academic success, and join with others in a vibrant community of learners at this world class institution of higher learning.
