Guest Speaker: Kathleen Nigro, PhD
"Got Gender Across the Curriculum"

Kathleen Butterly Nigro holds a doctorate in English from Saint Louis University and is an assistant teaching professor of gender studies and assistant director of the Institute for Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Missouri-St Louis. She is a coordinator and writes the annual reader's guide for the statewide book club reading initiative, ReadMore, which encourages all Missourians to read and discuss the same book, now in its eighth year. Kathleen is president of the Kate Chopin Society of North America, and much of her research focuses on Missouri women's history.
