Class Rosters, Grades, and Transcripts
Class Rosters
Following registration each semester, adjunct faculty will receive a class roster for the Advanced Credit Program course(s) they are teaching at their high school. The class roster(s) will be accompanied by student identification cards for the students enrolled for Advanced Credit. Adjunct faculty members are asked to check the accuracy of the rosters and identification cards. Any discrepancies should be reported to the Advanced Credit Program office immediately to ensure that all students registered or believed to be registered are properly identified.
Grades
Official university grade sheets and a detailed instruction sheet are mailed in November and April to adjunct faculty for completion. Upon completion of the Advanced Credit Program course(s), adjunct faculty will issue a grade to students enrolled in their course(s) for college credit. Grade sheets will be returned to the Advanced Credit Program office for processing. Once undesired grades are posted, they cannot be removed from a student's official university transcript. Students should be advised accordingly. The grade a student earned in an Advanced Credit course appears as part of the student's permanent university record and cannot be dropped. After the grades have been posted to the students' transcripts, an official University grade report will be mailed to the home of each student. Grade reports are individually issued for each course a student takes.
Because the high school semester differs somewhat from the university semester, students may receive a blank grade report. This simply means the high school grade sheets were not available in time for the university’s system to process through normal channels. Once the grades are posted to the students' transcripts, completed grade reports will be mailed to their homes. Please advise your students accordingly.
Grade Modification
An adjunct faculty member may formally change or modify a grade by requesting a Grade Change form from the Advanced Credit office. Course grades cannot be dropped.
Transcripts
Students may obtain copies of their University of Missouri-St. Louis transcripts by contacting the Office of Records and Transcripts, University of Missouri-St. Louis, One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121-4400, calling (314) 516-5676, or visiting www.umsl.edu/~registration/student/transcripts.htm to print out a transcript request form. A $5 fee is assessed for each transcript requested and payment must accompany requests. Checks should be made payable to UMSL. Transcripts are not issued to or for students who have financial obligations to the University until those obligations are paid in full.
Credit earned at the University of Missouri-St. Louis through the Advanced Credit Program is transferable to other colleges and universities according to their respective transfer policies. Students are encouraged to contact the Director of Admissions at the college or university of their choice for questions regarding acceptance and transferability of credit courses. Students are also advised to ascertain how the Advanced Credit Program credits are transferred.
