Where did the funds come to build these projects?

The Recreation and Wellness Center was passed by a student-wide referendum and approved by the Board of Curators of the University of Missouri System in 2012. UMSL students voted on and approved a fee of $19.25 a credit hour to fund the $36 million center. The increase will go into effect when the building opens. The Science Learning Building was funded through a reallocation of internal general revenue funds. Read about the groundbreaking of the facility.

When does the UMSL shuttle run?

The UMSL shuttle service for students, faculty and staff operates Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m.-10:45 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m. -3:30 p.m.; and on select Saturdays. View a complete shuttle schedule as well as a list of shuttle stops, including the newest stop between the Millennium Garages, here.

When does the Metrolink or Metro Bus run?

UMSL students, faculty and staff may ride the Metrolink and Metro buses by presenting a valid I.D. and UMSL Metrolink Pass, available in the Cashier's Office. Get more information about the UMSL Metrolink Pass and view the Metro schedules here.

What if I don't feel comfortable walking across campus?

UMSL is one of the very safest campuses in all of Missouri. However, if you'd like a police escort to your car, dorm or class, just call 314-516-5155.
