Paige Vaughn

Paige Vaughn photoPaige entered the UMSL Criminology and Criminal Justice Ph.D. program in 2015 after having earned B.A. degrees in Sociology and Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 2014. Her research interests include crime control policy, law and society, and race and inequality. Her present research involves examining policing strategies in disadvantaged Black communities characterized by high levels of violence. In collaboration with Richard Rosenfeld (UMSL), Paige is working on a project that uses a randomized controlled study to evaluate the St. Louis Police Partnership – an individualized focused deterrence program operated by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) and the Missouri Department of Corrections (MODOC).
