Lee received her Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland in 2007. Her research focuses on intra-individual change and stability in offending and substance use over time, with a specific emphasis on understanding the role of stressors in the process. She is also interested in the study of person-environment interactions and selection processes, intergenerational patterns of antisocial behavior, and research methodology.
