Honors College instructors are drawn from faculty in the various academic departments and areas in those colleges and schools which have an undergraduate component. What these teachers have in common is a willingness to work closely with a select, diverse group of intellectually curious and academically highachieving students. They demonstrate this by designing courses directed toward such an audience and based on small discussion seminars. Thus the honors faculty is an organic body, growing each semester as new faculty join in the honors project. The newcomers invariably include individuals whose teaching and scholarship have been singled out for special distinction. Their talents add to the Honors College's already rich instructional pool of more than 100 regular and full-time faculty. |
