Credit Requirements
A minimum of 18 hours of course work is required for a graduate certificate. At least 12 of these credit hours must consist of courses drawn from the list of core courses for the particular certificate program. At least 12 credit hours must be completed in residence at UMSt. Louis. At least 9 credit hours must be at the 400 level. No more than 6 credit hours may be independent study.

Filing the Degree Program
A graduate student enrolled in a certificate program is required to file a degree program with the Graduate School before completing the first twothirds of the number of hours required in the program
