Transferring to the University of Missouri-St. Louis is simple.

Step 1: Submit an Undergraduate Application.

Step 2: Submit your official transcripts to the Office of Admissions.

Transfer applicants with 24 or more transferable, college-level credit hours at the time of application need only to submit transcripts from all schools where they have attended and/or earned credit. These must be sent directly from the sending institution. Hand-delivered or faxed transcripts will not be accepted.

Transcripts should be sent to the following address:

Office of Admission
351 Millennium Student Center
One University Blvd.
St. Louis, MO 63121-4400

All credentials submitted for admission will remain on file with the university.

UMSL also accepts official transcripts sent electronically if delivered through one of the following exchanges: National Student Clearinghouse, Parchment, and eScript-Safe. These should be sent to admissions@umsl.edu if an email address is requested.

Once all of the necessary paperwork has been received, it usually take 3-5 business days to process your application and send you a decision depending on the time of the year and the volume of applications the Admission Office is receiving. However, you can track your application status online with your the login ID and password that you will receive shortly after submission.

Note: Applicants with fewer than 24 transferable credit hours must apply under the requirements for Freshman Admission which includes the need to submit high school transcripts and composite ACT scores.

When should I apply?

Prospective students may apply and be admitted any day of the year. However, it is recommended that you apply as soon as you are ready. This will ensure that you are eligible for the maximum amount of financial aid you qualify for.
