EXPERIENCE YOUR OWN PERSONAL INTRODUCTION TO STUDENT LIFE AT UMSL.

Congratulations on your admission to UMSL! Now that you've been accepted, you're invited to explore and celebrate the exciting possibilities that await you at UMSL. As an accepted student, you can register for an upcoming Student for a Day & Overnight Experience. This is your opportunity to spend 24 hours immersed in the Triton experience.

Student for a Day & Overnight Experience Schedule:

As part of this experience, you will attend a class, enjoy dining services for dinner, breakfast and lunch; attend a featured evening UMSL or St. Louis event; learn and experience first-hand what it is like to live on campus; and engage with current students to learn about the true Triton college experience. We are confident that at the end of this experience, you will Choose UMSL as the perfect place for you to begin your college journey.

February 12-13, 2019
Featured Experience: During this evening program, participants will have the opportunity to join UMSL students, staff and alumni for a campuswide UMSL Night at the Blues Game to cheer on the St. Louis Blues professional hockey team. You will receive an UMSL Blues beanie hat, and a ticket and transportation to the game.

February 21-22, 2019
Featured Experience: During this evening program, participants will participants will have the opportunity to attend our number one campus tradition: UMSL Homecoming Pack the Stands event. You will experience the true Triton pride as we cheer on the men’s basketball team, enjoy homecoming half-time competitions get pumped up by the famous pep band music and cheerleading performances. This will be a great chance for you to take part in campus life and engage with current student leaders.

March 1-2, 2019
Featured Experience: During this evening program, participants will be able to enjoy the convenience of being on campus the night before the UMSL Day Open House program. Enjoy staying in Oak Residence Hall and participate in the on-campus evening activities hosted in the Recreation and Wellness Center. This will be a great chance for you to take part in campus life  and engage with current student leaders. *UMSL Day registration is included in registration for this program.

April 22-23, 2019
Featured Experience: During this evening program, participants will have the opportunity to join the students for a night out at a St. Louis Cardinals professional baseball game. You will receive a ticket and transportation to the game.

Day One Overview
4 pm - Check in at Oak Hall
5 pm - Welcome \ Residential Life and Housing Overview
5:30 pm - Dinner
6-9 pm - STL or UMSL experience
9 pm - Evening activities in Oak Hall
Day Two Overview
8 am - Breakfast
9 am - Honors College
10 am - Student Involvement presentation & student leader panel
11 am - Classroom experience
Noon - Lunch with current students, faculty and staff
1:30 pm - Walking campus tour
2 pm - Financial aid & admitted next steps
3 pm - Wrap up

*Schedule may change slightly for each date, but will include all these sessions

Cost: This experience is free for our admitted UMSL students and is not designed to accommodate other family members. This program does not fulfill the orientation requirement.

Waiver Release: We will not be able to check you into the program, unless we have your waiver release form on file. Please email this form before the program to newstudentprograms@umsl.edu.

Check-In: Check-in for the programs will begin at 4 pm at Oak Hall Residence Hall, Main Lobby. The opening welcome will begin at 4:30 pm. Please let us know if you will be running late so that we can make accommodations prior. You can contact us at newstudentprograms@umsl.edu or at 314-516-5291.

Parking: If you are parking a car on campus overnight, you will receive a temporary parking permit at check-in at Oak Hall. This will need to be placed inside the front dashboard of your vehicle. Please park in the South Campus Parking Garage.
