Frequently Asked Questions
The Dual Enrollment Program (DEP) provides advanced-level high school students the opportunity to take college coursework on UMSL's campus or online. Students use this option to expand on academic subjects that may not be available at the high school level, i.e. anthropology or philosophy, and/or to pursue individual interests. Students may select courses offered during the day, evening or online as long as all prerequisites are met. Successful DEP students will typically have a 3.0 or higher GPA in their core courses.
Students who wish to enroll through the DEP must complete an online application, provide copies of their current high school transcripts, and have permission from their parent/guardian and from their high school administrator/counselor.
If the student intends to use the earned credits as part of their high school graduation requirements, that must be arranged by the student with their high school independent from UMSL.
Students are responsible for all tuition and fees associated with their Dual Enrollment course as well as purchasing any required materials.
Please visit the Dual Enrollment website for more information regarding course selection, eligibility, registration, student support, orientation, scholarships, and policies.
