Information for Undergraduate Students:
Beginning Fall 2017*, ALL undergraduate students attending UMSL who are Illinois residents from any Illinois county, will pay the in-state tuition rate at UMSL. Undergraduate tuition for non-residents is $910.90 per credit hour. Our Illinois Rate enables undergraduate Illinois residents to pay the in-state rate of $342.50 per credit hour. This is a savings of $568.40 per credit hour. With most undergraduate degrees requiring a minimum of 120 credit hours, the savings can add up to more than $68,000 over the course of your bachelor's degree.**
*The University of Missouri Board of Curators approved the Illinois undergraduate tuition rate on Feb. 9, 2017. The rate set FY2018 (beginning in the Fall 2017 term) tuition for undergraduate students attending UMSL who are residents of Illinois at a rate equal to the Missouri resident undergraduate rate. Information for Graduate Students:
Through our Metropolitan Rate Program, graduate students attending UMSL who are residents from 22 surrounding Illinois counties* receive in-state tuition rate. Graduate tuition for non-residents is $1,145.60 per credit hour versus the in-state rate of $466.70. This is a savings of $678.90 per credit hour (nearly 60 percent off).** The number of credit hours required for graduate degrees vary by program, so consult your academic advisor to learn the cost savings associated with your degree through the Metro Rate.
