Electronic Application
This is an electronic application that requires about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Once completed, it will be reviewed by our Admissions staff and/or faculty. You will be contacted within 10-14 days regarding the status of your admission.
| What You Will Need: | |
| • | Permanent address information. |
| • | Your intended degree program (major) and enrollment plans. |
| • | Previous college information (for graduate and transfer applicants), such as attendance and graduation dates. |
| • | Emergency contact information - whom to contact in case there is an emergency. |
| • | A valid Mastercard, Visa, or Discover card for paying the application fee. |
On the first page, you will be asked to create a unique user ID and password. By creating a secure user ID, you will have the opportunity to save your application at any point and return later to complete it. Or, you can complete the entire application at once. It might be a good idea to write down your user ID and password for reference later.
Paying your application fee ($35 for U.S. students, $40 for international students): At the end of Part I of the application, you will have the opportunity to pay the application fee online on our secure server with a MasterCard, Visa, Discover card, or your checking or savings account (echeck). If you are not prepared to pay the fee now, you can return to the site later that same day to log in with your user ID and password to pay the application fee. If you do not pay the fee online that same day, your application will be submitted and you will be required to pay the application fee by credit card over the phone at 314-516-UMSL (8675) or toll-free at 888-GO-2-UMSL (462-8675) or pay by check payable to UM-St. Louis and mail to Admissions Office, 351 MSC, UM-St. Louis, One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121.
After you have completed your application and paid your application fee, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that provides additional details such as contact information and a confirmation number which you can refer to if you ever need to call us with questions about your application.
