UMSL Faculty and Programs

 

Headshot of faculty member, Beth HuebnerThe University of Missouri–St. Louis is home to 1,447 faculty members who deliver 54 bachelor's degree programs, 37 master's degree programs, 15 doctoral degree programs and the only professional degree in optometry in Missouri. UMSL  provides 24 graduate certificate programs and two education specialist programs.

Our faculty members are consistently recognized for being among the best in the United States in a number of disciplines.

And "diversity" isn't just a buzzword at UMSL. It's an attribute. African-Americans comprise 10 percent of university faculty, and women make up 48 percent of our full-time faculty. Both percentages are above the respective national averages.
