Second Life Writing Center Tutorial

Learn more about our Second Life Writing Center (SLWC).

Getting on Second Life is simple:

1. Go to our Second Life website: http://secondlifeumsl.org

2. Click on Create a Second Life Account and set up a free account. You can choose your own avatar at this time. 

3. Download the Second Life Viewer: http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/.  It's free and doesn't take up much space. If you are on campus, Instructional Computing computers already have Second Life installed.  Go to Start>Internet and Web Publishing>Second Life.

4. Launch the Second Life Viewer and log in with the avatar name and password you created.

5. Once Second Life is running, click on the following link or copy and paste the address into the Second Life browser: secondlife://UnivMissouriStL%20Education/138/234/27

Your avatar will arrive at The Second Life Writing Center where your tutor will be waiting to help you!

You can make, cancel, or modify appointments by logging into WCOnline at umsl.mywconline.com.
