Pledging Information

Pledging for Alpha Phi Omega is relatively straight forward.  You will not be expected to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable or provide any type of service to active members.  During the pledge period  (approximately 7 weeks) you have the most of the same rights actives do.  The purpose of the pledge period is to educate the pledge as to the history and origins of the fraternity and chapter, and to prepare the individuals to become active members by planning and executing different events as well as acquainting them with current active members.

Pledge Requirements

• Meet all advisors

• Learn the history of Alpha Phi Omega and the Sigma Alpha Chapter

• As a pledge class plan and complete one service project

• As a pledge class plan and complete one fellowship event

• As a pledge class plan and complete one fundraising event

• As a pledge class design, and order pledge class shirts

• Attend required meetings

• Complete at least 15 hours of service prior to initiation

• Wear pledge pin at all times

• Pass all tests
