My name is Shaji Khan and I currently teach at the University of Missouri-St. Louis in the department of Information Systems/Logistics & Operations Management. I received my Ph.D. in Business Administration with emphasis in Information Systems from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
I also hold Masters in Computer Science, Bachelors in Commerce, and Bachelors in Arts degrees. My research interests include offshoring of Information Technology (IT) and Business services, innovation and entrepreneurship especially in the IT context, collective mindfulness and management of IT in high-reliability environments, and knowledge sharing and transfer.
My research has thus far appeared in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Strategic Outsourcing an International Journal, International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Journal of Developmental Entrepreneurship, and Journal of Small Business Management. I have also presented several papers at prestigious Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship related academic conferences.
Currently, I am pursuing multiple research projects pertaining to institutional influences against offshoring, the extent of, and changes in, use of offshore services among public sector firms, the use of offshored IT and Business services among startups, impact sourcing, and entrepreneur behaviors.
