Can I just take one course if that is all I want to do?
Yes. If all you want to take is one of the classes being offering in the certification program that is perfectly fine. You can take as few or as many as you like. The only requirement for most of the classes is that you have at least an associates degree or at least two years of work experience.
Do I need to call UMSL to get approval to take a class?
No. If you have at least an associates degree or at least two years of work experience, then you have meet the requiremens for the certification classes. If you are in doubt, then feel free to contact the program coordinator Thomas O’Connell or the program director Professor Perry Drake. They will be more than happy to assist you.
Must I take the classes in the order you are offering them?
No. Again you can take any class you want at any time as long as you meet the requirements listed for the classes.
Must I send in my resume for approval?
No. You only need to contact the program coordinator or director if you do not meet the minimum requirements for the program.
Where are the courses being held?
At present, all courses are being offered at the West County location. That location is 12837 Flushing Meadows Dr. St. Louis, MO 63131
If I have problems registering for a course, who do I contact?

Is there financial assistance offered for these courses?
At this time there is no financial assistance offered for these courses.
Will I receive credit for these courses?
These courses are offered as noncredit continuing education. However, these courses are offered for a grade. You are required to receive a “C” or better for all courses to receive certification. We are currently looking into creating a credit option. You can contact the program director for more information.
Can I just take the Digital Strategies class if that is all I want to take?
No. The Digital Strategies class is being offered as a Capstone class for certification. A student must complete all required course work in order to be eligible to take this course.
