John Hoover

 

John Hoover, Director of the St. Louis Mercantile Library and Associate Director of Libraries for Special Collections at UMSL, is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds advanced degrees from the University of Missouri and Southern Illinois University. Author of many articles and reviews, Hoover has lectured widely on American Western studies, bibliography and rare book librarianship. He is currently editing the papers of two symposia on St. Louis cultural history that he developed for the Mercantile Library.
