       Hi!   I'm Michael Cornish. In addition to being a loving husband and father, and a full-time Information Technology practitioner, in my spare time I am a part-time doctoral student in UM - St. Louis' PhD in Information Systems program. Please take a moment to browse around my site and learn a little about me, my PhD experience, some of my life adventures, and some of my favorite resources.

       My webpage theme is reflective of my love for traveling around the Western and Southwestern United States. This photo of me is from perhaps my most daring Western adventure. The photo was taken by my son one July afternoon in 1999 while we were backpacking with friends in Yosemite National Park in California. This photo was taken shortly before my son and I summitted Half Dome mountain. It was a most exhilirating experience.
