Office of China and World Economy
Economic
growth in China since 1978 has been stimulated by economic and financial
liberalization of the Chinese government.
The open-door policy of China coupled with the China’s accession to WTO
has strengthened economic ties between China and the rest of the world's
economy. The forthcoming conference
will provide a forum for three sets of participants - policy makers,
practitioners, and scholars – who will parlay their experience and knowledge
pertaining to the workings of the Chinese economy on challenges and
opportunities it faces in the new millenium.
