| The Plains Indian Museum at the Buffalo
Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, received an Award of Merit from
the American Association for State and Local History. The AASLH awards
are the most prestigious recognition for achievement in the preservation
and interpretation of local, state, and regional history.
The Austin (Texas) History Center launched a permanent on-line exhibit on August 31st, 2001, entitled “Austin Treasures: Online Exhibits from the Austin History Center Collections,” focusing on the people, places, and events in the history of Austin and Travis County, Texas. A link to the web exhibitions can be found on the Austin History Center’s web site, www.cityofaustin.org/library/ahc/exhibit.htm. The Online Archive of New Mexico, a database of historical source materials in New Mexico, is available for use at http://eLibrary.umsl.edu/oanm. The database contains information on over 1,000 archival collections located at four major repositories: Center for Southwest Research, University of New Mexico General Library, Albuquerque; Fray Angelico Chavez History Library, Place of the Governors, Santa Fe; New Mexico State Records Center & Archives, Santa Fe; and Rio Grande Historical Collections, New Mexico State University Library, Las Cruces. |
