PROFESSOR IN RUNNING FOR KLINE AWARD

Jason Cannon, visiting assistant professor of theater at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, received three nominations for the third annual
Kevin Kline Awards: "Outstanding Director of a Play," "Outstanding Lighting Design" and "Outstanding Lead Actor in a Play." The nods were for Cannon's multiple roles in RiverCity Theatre and Vanity Theatre's staging of "Hamlet."
Cannon made his UMSL debut as producer of the fall production "Noises Off." He will direct and produce UMSL's play "Recent Tragic Events," which will run in March at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center. Winners of the Kevin Kline Awards will be announced March 31.
