The TRIO Program

The name “TRIO” refers to programs funded by the U.S. Department of Education designed to assist disadvantaged students successfully pursue a college education. TRIO programs include: Upward Bound, Talent Search, Student Support Services, Educational Outreach Centers and McNair Achievement. There are now more than 1700 TRIO programs assisting more than 700,000 students at over 1200 universities and colleges. For further information visit the TRIO programs website.
