Eligibility Criteria & Student Responsibility
As part of the federal TRiO programs, Student Support Services at U.M. St. Louis follows specific criteria for participant eligibility. Although the criteria are broadly determined by the U.S. Legislature, the Student Support Services program at U.M. St. Louis has made every attempt to personalize this process.
To ensure optimal benefits from the SSS program, students must be committed to reaching their goals. We ask that our participants meet very particular criteria AND agree to the folloing responsibilities in order to create a partnership with Student Support Services.
If you:
- have been admitted to, and are enrolled in classes at UM-St. Louis.
- have a documented disability, as well as registered with Disability Access Services.
- are pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
- are enrolled in at least (6) credit hours.
- are a transfer student and have a miniumum college GPA of 1.7 (up to 55 credits) or 1.85 (56 credits and beyond).
- are having difficulty passing your classes
Then you may qualify for participation in the Student Support Services program. If you are invited to participate, you will need to agree to the following:
- Maintain a personal commitment and involvement in determining and utilizing service,
- Keep appropriate contact with SSS program staff,
- Use requested services appropriately.
- Complete and sign a Personalized Plan for Sucess (PPS) for each semester that you are enrolled at U.M. St. Louis.
- Maintain a minimum semester GPA of a 2.0 or above
