Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
Must Complete 120 semester hours, including 30 hours distributed as follows:
1. Sociology Courses: (30 semester hours)
a. Core Courses: (12 semester hours)
Soc.1010 - Introduction to Sociology (3)
Soc. 3210 - Sociological Theory (3)
Soc. 3220 - Sociological Statistics (3)
Soc. 3230 - Research Methods (3)b. Electives: (18 hours)
Six additional sociology courses (18 semester hours) are required, including a minimum of two courses (6 semester hours) at the 4000 level (no more than 3 hours of Soc.4350 - Individual Study). The specific courses elected should be decided in conference with the student's advisor to assure continuity and applicability of course and career objectives.
No Required Courses May be Taken on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory Basis. Students Must Maintain a Minimum of 2.0 GPA in All Sociology Courses.
