UM-St. Louis Opera Theatre
is a second semester organization that produces opera scenes, musicals, operettas, and/or operas. The UM-St. Louis music faculty coach, conduct, and coordinate the musical dimensions of each production. Recent productions include Man of la Mancha, 1999; Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, 2000; John Phillip Sousa’s El Capitan, 2001; 1940's Radio Hour, 2002. In 2003, The Boyfriend.
The UM-St. Louis Opera Workshop Ensemble is comprised of students pursuing majors in a wide variety of academic disciplines.
