meet in the Villa/Provincial House and maintain an active campus performance schedule, including performances for the Chancellor's annual Expo Celebration and the UM-St. Louis Staff Service Awards Banquet. Performing artists Ndugu Chancler, Geoff Haydon, and James Warfield, have performed as featured soloists with the jazz ensembles and recent accomplishments include the presentation of a concert series to honor Duke Ellington's 100th anniversary; the music performed included many of the old Ellington favorites. In its 1999-2000 inaugural year, the UM-St. Louis Jazz Combo performed over 15 performances at various functions, including ceremonies, receptions, and banquets.
