Sue Stubbs

(Instructor of Double Bass)

Sue Stubbs received her Bachelor in Music degree in music performance from the Julliard School (New York City) and a Master of Music degree in music performance from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Her principal instructors were Stuart Sanhay, Gary Karr, and Eugene Levinson. She has performed with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra of New York, Kansas City Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Louis Ballet Orchestra, Kammergild Chamber Orchesta (St. Louis), Aspen Festival Orchestra, Springfield (MO) Symphony Orchestra, and Gateway Festival Orchestra.

She also performs free-lance with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, she is on the music faculty of the University of Missouri-Columbia, St. Louis University, East Central College, and the St. Louis Symphony Community Music School.
