Carol Koch

(Senior Lecturer)

Carol Koch joined the music faculty of the University of Missouri - St. Louis in 1989. Previous teaching appointments included the Clayton and the Ferguson-Florissant School Districts, where she taught elementary general music, participated in writing the music curriculum, taught keyboard skills in the gifted and talented program, and was a consultant for the Ferguson-Florissant School District Curriculum Review Committee.

An experienced accompanist, she has performed as a church musician, pit orchestra musician and rehearsal pianist for many community and high school theater productions, as well as musical and theatrical director for community theater and church productions (including performances as an actress.) Mrs. Koch has maintained a private piano studio for over thirty years. Professional organizations include the Music Educators National Conference. Mrs. Koch received both her Bachelor in Music Education and Master in Music Education degrees from the UM - St. Louis.
