Szczecin Sister City Board of Directors

For five years Murphy served on the Board of Directors for the Szczecin Sister City Program. The Sister City Program is a non-profit citizen diplomacy network seeking stronger economic and cultural ties at the municipal level between the United States and international communities.

Through sister city partnerships the ideals and values of citizen-based diplomacy become a reality. From educational exchanges to economic development projects; from health care assistance to municipal cooperation; from cultural programs to technology innovations; the work of sister cities touches the lives of people and their communities all over the globe.
