Murphy has given numerous presentations througout the years at the International Association of Special Educaiton (IASE).

In July 2001, Murphy and two colleagues were invited to present at the IASE conference in Warsaw, Poland. The topic of their presentation was "The Brain/Learning Connection: Growing New Dendrites and Strengthening their Synapses."

In June 2003, Murphy along with her colleagues Joan French and Carolyn Cottrell, gave a presentation entitled "Translating Brain Research to Classroom Learning" at the IASE conference in Zegreb, Croatia.

In June 2007, Murphy and her colleagues gave a presentation entitled "Brain Matters" at the IASE conference in Hong Kong.

In July 2009, Murphy is scheduled to do a presentation entitled "Brain-Wise Leadership" at the IASE conference being held in Spain.
