Student Scholarships
Student scholarships are provided to each of the high schools participating in the Advanced Credit program. During the development of the program, a number of qualified students who were eager to participate, but who lacked the resources to enroll even at the reduced rate, prompted the initiation of the student scholarship policy. The policy is as follows:
Advanced Credit Student Scholarship Policy Revised August 1999
Scholarships are provided to each Advanced Credit high school based on the previous year's enrollment, with a minimum of one scholarship per school. Selection of the scholarship recipients will be determined by the high school based either on financial need or scholarship. Scholarship forms will be distributed to the high school contact person prior to registration to enable students to register on time. Each scholarship is the equivalent of one course (either three or five hours). A maximum of one scholarship recipient per semester shall be awarded.
